MIAMI, Fla. – Ricky Bandejas is expecting big implications with a win over Ray Borg.

Bandejas (15-6) meets former UFC title challenger Ray Borg (15-5) on Friday at Eagle FC 46 and sees Borg as the perfect name to help him kickstart a title run.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Bandejas told MMA Junkie. “It’s his second fight with them, and he’s on a kill streak, I believe four fights in a row or something, so a win over him would definitely be good on the resume.”

He continued, “Beat him and just keep climbing up the ranks until you get the belt.”

Bandejas, who fought top-level Bellator competition such as former champion Juan Archuleta, current champion Sergio Pettis, Patchy Mix, and James Gallagher, was disappointed with how his Bellator tenure came to an end. He found a new home at Eagle FC, and the 30-year-old is currently chasing the biggest paychecks.

“Whatever makes me money,” Bandejas said. “Him, anybody, whoever. As long as I get paid, I’m happy.”

Eagle FC 46 takes place Friday at FLXcast Arena and streams live on the FLXcast app.
